“I am Wendy - mommy to a four-and-a-half year old son, public school teacher (and mother-figure) to my fifth grade students. I am a writer who wishes writing was my day job. I can create floral arrangements for a wedding (due to my years working in a flower shop) and tell you where to find Shakespeare's works in a public library (822.33 - I worked in a library during college). I cannot whistle and cannot eat spicy foods. I also am trying to navigate life with an autoimmune disease that was diagnosed last year. Writing is often the way I try to sort things out, put some order in my life. ”
