Familius
“The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together.”–Erma Bombeck
Family. Whether we like it or not, we all have one. What does that word, “family,” mean? Some families are large. Some are small. Some families are dysfunctional. Some are very dysfunctional. A few families seem to transcend everyday challenges and find joy in their relationships. These are the families we admire and we wonder what do they do different.
What are their secrets? Are there secrets? Are there best practices to help a family succeed? Is it possible, whether parent or child, married or single, young or old, to find that abundant life we seek?
Yes. At Familius we believe that life is meant to be enjoyed not just endured and that family is the foundation on which we build an abundant life. Just as there are best management practices in business, there are best parenting practices, best marriage practices, best family relationship practices that, when followed, increase potential for happiness.
We welcome you and invite you to join our publishing family. We hope that you will enjoy what we have to offer.
