“Deborah P. Schone was the best friend of Kristin Haroldsen, the girl who died from bulimia. She is one of eight children and has experienced the pain that is brought on through the chains of addiction when she lost her youngest brother to a drug overdose and the repercussions of similar tragedies. Through rearing her own eight children, two of whom are adopted, she has opened her heart and home to many who have struggled through life-altering choices. She travels abroad to Ethiopia, Africa, and Haiti to improve educational opportunities and infrastructure issues for the children who reside there. She is a photographer and enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Steve, and their children. She and her family currently reside in St. George, Utah.”
